Ordering
Your cake order isn’t placed until payment is received in full. All cakes are custom and variations in color, design, and details should be expected. I have complete artistic interpretation on all orders. No refunds will be given for discrepancies in design.
Cake Pick-up
All online orders, small celebration and sculpted cakes, tasting boxes, as well as intimate wedding cakes are pick-up ONLY. Cake pick-ups can be scheduled Friday through Sunday 10am to 4pm. Missed pick-ups will not be held or refunded.
Cancellation Policy
All sales are FINAL. No refunds will be given for cancellations and payments are non-transferable.
Wedding Cake Policies
Booking the Date
Your order becomes reserved only when this cake contract is drawn up, signed, and a $150.00 booking retainer is received. The retainer is paid to reserve your date and goes toward the total cost of the cake. The retainer is non-refundable and not transferable in the event of a cancellation.
Cakes dates are first come first serve and I only do a limited number of cakes per week. Retainers are required and at the sole discretion of Cascadia Cake Design.
First Payment
Two months before your event date, 50% of your remaining balance is due. If you book your cake less than two months before your event date, your deposit plus your first payment is required.
Final Payment
The final balance is due two weeks before the event date. If your cake is ordered less than one month before the event date, the total balance is due immediately and your order will not be placed until payment is received. The cake will not be made if final payment has not been received. We are happy to accept payments on the final contract price – however, all monies must be received 2 weeks prior to the event or your cake will not be made. All payments made will be non-refundable or transferable after the two-week lock-out date. Any changes to your cake order: size, colors, decoration, flavors, etc., will be accepted up to two weeks prior to the event date. After that lockout date I cannot accept any additional changes.
Delivery and Set-up
Delivery and set-up is required for all wedding cakes and for some multiple tier special occasion cakes. The delivery minimum of $75 for cakes within a 10 mile radius of Cascadia Cake Design. All other deliveries range from $150 to $300, depending on location. If a ferry ride is required for delivery, ferry fares will be added to the delivery cost.
Rental Items
Please return any stands, plates, or other decor to Cascadia Cake Design no later than two weeks after your event. A refundable deposit is required to rent items which equates to the cost to replace the item if it is lost/damaged or not returned within two weeks.
