How do I order a wedding cake?

Every wedding cake is unique, so the process it a little more than ordering a birthday cake. Start by filling out the form for wedding cake quotes and we will begin the process together.

When should I order my wedding cake?

Ideally, as soon as you have your venue booked. Some venues are outside of my delivery area.

Can I have fresh flowers on my wedding cake?

Fresh flowers a grown with a number of pesticides and aren’t meant to come in contact with food. Not to mention a lot of flowers are inedible or even poisonous. Sugar flowers are my recommendation to adorn your cake. You can have any flower under the sun in any color you wish. They won’t wilt, and they can be kept for years to come.

I really want to taste your cake before I commit to an order. Do you offer tastings?

I offer tasting boxes for pick up in Renton. They consist of 5 cake flavors with perfectly paired fillings. Lead time for a tasting box is two weeks, but keep an eye on Instagram. Occasionally I have flash sales. They will be available to purchase online very soon.

Do you offer Gluten Free and Vegan cakes?

I don’t currently offer gluten free or vegan cakes. If you are celiac, I can recommend Linden Park Whisk or Cake & Crumble for gluten free options. For vegan cakes, try Lazy Cow Bakery.

I am heading your way to pick up my cake. What’s the best way to transport it?

Your cake will be in a box the same size as the cake board - one to two inches larger than the cake. Cakes travel best on a flat surface, either on the floor or in the trunk. Don’t set your cake on the seat as they are not level, or let someone hold it while driving. Always pick up the cake box and carry it by the bottom.

How do I order a birthday or sculpted cake?

Simple cakes require a minimum of 72 hours lead time, as each cake is baked to order. More complex and sculpted cake require a minimum of two weeks lead time. Fill out the form for celebration and sculpted cakes and we’ll start the process.

Do you take online orders for cakes?

Not at this time. I am working toward some signature cakes that will be available to purchase online and picked up in Renton.
